"Realize: From To-Do Lists to Life Long Goals and Back" Online Interactive eCourse
"Before I took this eCourse I used to fall into bad patterns by thinking, 'I can't do anything, I never follow through, etc.' By doing the daily assignments in this eCourse, I discovered that I had formed a habit without realizing it. I planned for it in all circumstances so that I was intentional about it and the day I didn't do it I didn't feel right. All of a sudden I have healthy new habits! Now it has gotten me excited for the next goal!" - Stacey, Teacher and Learner

"Now that I've taken this eCourse, I definitely feel more motivated than overwhelmed about my goals. I think I need to write some of your comments on my forearm, Dawn, so that I'm constantly reminded of how to think about my goals!" Andrea, Actress
After you register and pay for the course, you will be given access to a private blog, where a new post arrives every day at 6:00 am, six days a week for four weeks. You can log in at any time each day to do your assignment. Simply read the new content, complete the activity and add your answer to the comments on the blog. Before long, you will get to know the others in your e-course and want to comment on what they write, which starts an enriching conversation.
Here's one session of the e-course.
Begin With the End In Mind
In the book "Creating Your Best Life: The Ultimate Life List
Guide", Caroline Adams Miller, MAPP and Dr. Michael B. Frisch write:
"Findings
from thirty years of research on life satisfaction show that
happiness requires having clear-cut goals in life that give us a
sense of purpose and direction. When we make progress toward satisfying
our most cherished needs, goals and wishes in the sixteen areas of
life that contribute to contentment, we create well-being. Our
research also shows that when we make progress toward attaining goals
in one area of life, we raise our overall life satisfaction in other
areas because of the potent "spillover" effect." - 10
Throughout
this course, we'll go into the research, the basis of happiness, and
how to set achievable goals. For now, let's start with the end in mind.
What do you most want to be known for when you die? In the comments
below, write yourself a short obituary. Tell about your greatest
achievements, who you loved and who loved you, how you made a
difference, and/or where you found meaning. Dream big about these next
decades of your life, and write it as if it already happened.
This is a celebration of your life, and of the fact that you have been alive.
"A person should set his goals as early as he can and devote
all his energy and talents to getting there. With enough effort, he may
achieve it. Or he may find something that is even more rewarding. But
in the end, no matter what the outcome, he will know he has been alive."
- Walt Disney
Even as you write an obituary, my goal for you this month is that each of you knows that you have been alive. Really alive.
